Diversity Elections Standing as a Candidate Training Training and Tools Women

Inspiring Women event – 3 September 2018

You may have received an email from Caroline Pidgeon on Friday evening about an additional Inspiring Women event joining the LibDem calendar, following the huge success of the July event.

In her email, Caroline said:

Earlier this year I travelled across London supporting the local election campaigns, I spoke to many women members who want to get more involved in the party. However, they didn’t know how to go about it.

Our second Inspiring Women evening is aimed at you if you want to get more involved and stand for election whether for the council, GLA or parliament.

We will be joined by some of our fantastic councillors including Cllr Liz Green, Leader of Kingston Council, Cllr Luisa Porritt, a new councillor in Camden and Cllr Dawn Barnes, newly elected to Haringey Council. We also hope to be joined by MPs with their own inspirational stories and Lucy Salek, Lewisham East by-election candidate. And Julia Cambridge and Natalie Chindipha from the Campaign for Gender Balance will be there to explain what support and opportunities are available for women in the Lib Dems who want to make their mark in politics.

The event will run from 6PM on Monday 3rd September in the David Lloyd George Room at the National Liberal Club.

It looks set to be a fantastic event, and there are only limited spaces – so register now to avoid missing out!
