Lib Dem Campaign for Racial Equality launches campaign for Black History Month

Representation matters. Diversity is important. As Liberal Democrats, these points shouldn’t be contentious.

October marks the beginning of Black History Month; a month designed to celebrate and highlight the experiences, lives and accomplishment of black people.

We’re especially excited to see the interviews from the Lib Dem Campaign for Racial Equality‘s new campaign for Black History Month, where they will be sharing interviews discussing the issues and experiences of our party’s BAME members. (See the first one here!)

Each of us has a role to play in improving diversity and representation, both in our party and in our country. For our part we’d like to replicate the success of our ‘17 women building up their local parties‘ piece in February.

Send us your nominations for BAME activists and candidates in your area and give us a link to their fighting funds, and we’ll share and share and share. Send us an email to info@libdemexpand.co.uk or tweet us @libdemexpand.
